R3E Nissan KDR30 Skyline 2000RS Previews

Sector3 released a batch of preview screenshots showcasing the upcoming Nissan KDR30 Skyline 2000RS. The car will be added to the R3E Gr5 class.

The Nissan 2000RS was a Sports version of the 6th generation (R30) Nissan Skyline and made its debut in October 1981. The following year Nissan and Nova Engineering entered the Skyline Super Silhouette nicknamed “Iron Mask” in the “Fuji Super Silhouette Series”.

In 1982 and 1983 the Nissan Skyline Super Silhouette was driven by Masahiro Hasemi, earning two victories in 1982 and five victories in 1983. While on the outside the car resembled a Nissan SkylineR30, in reality it was basically a formula car with a bodyshell on top. The KDR30 Skyline was powered by a 2,082 cc inline-4 LZ20B turbo producing 570 hp at 7,600 rpm.
