RaceRoom 2018 FIA WTCR – Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR Previews

Yesterday, Sector3 Studios announced that they will release the highly anticipated 2018 FIA WTCR DLC for RaceRoom in sync with their next build update. While it is not yet officially confirmed, the WTCR addon pack will most likely feature all the teams and cars running in the 2018 WTCR Championship.

Back in March, we already got a taste of the Audi RS 3 LMS TCR. Yesterday we could enjoy some in-game previews of the Cupra TCR racers from Zengő Motorsport and Campos Racing. Today Sector3 Studios revealed some more stunning preview shots of the upcoming 2018 FIA WTCR DLC showcasing the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR.

  

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde TCR was built by Italian tuning and auto racing team Romeo Ferraris according to the TCR International Championship regulations.
This new front-driven WTCR racer is powered by a 1,7 liter Turbocharged 4-cylinder in-line engine with Direct fuel injection. The engine delivers 350HP at 6800rpm. Als these horses are transferred to the front axle via a 6-speed dog ring Sequential gearbox which is operated via shift paddles on the steering wheel.

The FIA World Touring Car Cup, also known as the FIA WTCR presented by Oscaro is an international touring car championship promoted by Eurosport Events and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). The 2018 World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) takes over from the World Touring Car Championship and adopts the TCR technical regulations, though it will be the 14th overall season of the series that dates from the 2005 World Touring Car Championship.

The change of name and new rules follow the declining interest in the TC1 regulations used by the World Touring Car Championship between 2014 and 2017 and the growing interest among manufacturers in the TCR touring car category.
