RaceRoom – A First Look At The Imola Track
Sector3 Studios is getting ready to release the legendary Italian Imola circuit for their RaceRoom Racing Experience title.
A few days ago we already posted the first screenshots of the track. Now, Sector3 Studios own Georg Ortner, ISRTV’s John Sabol, and VR ambassador GamerMuscle take us for a ride previewing RaceRoom’s upcoming track addon. To showcase the track in all its glory, Georg battles a field of GT cars while John decided to go for an F4 open wheeler event. James competes in a 90’s DTM race.
The Imola circuit for RaceRoom is scheduled to become available this week.
The Italian Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari or Imola as it is mostly called is situated near the Italian town of Imola, 40 kilometers (24.9 mi) east of Bologna. The venue which holds an FIA Grade 1 license, hosted the Formula One San Marino Grand Prix. Sadly enough the track is most remembered for the fatal accidents of Formula One drivers Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.
Since 2007, the circuit has undergone major revisions. The current version of the track is 4.933 km (3.065 mi) long and features 23 turns. Imola is one of the few major international circuits to run in an anti-clockwise direction.
