RaceRoom FR2 In-Game Footage

Many RaceRoom fans were waiting for more news regarding the release date of Sector3 Studio’s first Openwheeler for RaceRoom Racing Experience. Now it seems that the wait is almost over.

Today Sector3 has released a brand new video and a big batch of in-game preview screenshots of the upcoming Formula RaceRoom 2 series. The new video and screenshots show us the RaceRoom FR2 series in action on the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

This semi-fictional RaceRoom FR2 open wheeler is loosely based on the real world GP2 car. This high downforce Spec Formula racer is capable of generating up to 1.7 ton of pressure at full speed which makes it relatively easy to handle, and therefore very suitable for close and competitive racing.

The RaceRoom development team did put a lot of effort in the new addon car, featuring a new driver model, animated suspension and a new physics approach. At release, the Formula RaceRoom 2 pack will come with a full grid of 22 unique liveries.

No exact release date is given, but the Formula RaceRoom 2 is expected to be available before Christmas.

Besides the RaceRoom FR2 car, Sector3 Studios also has the Spa-Francorchamps and the laser scanned Nurburgring Nordschleife tracks lined up. Again, no release date has been given, but an FR2/Francorchamps combo does not seem far fetch.
