RaceRoom Racing Experience – The unreleased Nürburgring.

therealPaulaD uploaded a video showing us the Team Falken Tire – #18 RUF RT12R on the Nurburgring GP track in RaceRoom Racing Experience. The Nurburgring GP circuit is not yet officially released, but has been used for the Falken Tyre Competition. In this competition, the fastest contenders in the Get Real event can win some crazy prizes. One set of Falken tyres for a random participant, chosen by an equal draw among all registered participants, or tickets to the 24h of the Nurburgring to name a few. 

A nice bonus is that all registered participants of the competition that have completed a ranked lap time can unlock the Falken Tyres RUF RT12R livery for their RaceRoom account at the end of the competition.  To be eligible for the prizes contenders had to own the RUF RT12R before the end of the competition. This is clever marketing, but that said, any self respecting RRRE fan will have surely wanted the car in his collection.

It has to be said, that just as in iRacing, the sound of the RUF is nothing less then amazing. Sim racing sounds are a massive part of the immersion factor, and we can only hope that other sim developers will follow taking audio to the next level.
