Image Space Incorporated just released 3 development screens of the upcoming Atlanta Motorsports Park circuit for rFactor 2.

The screens are showing us the terrain accuracy using an overlay 3D model on a genuine photo of the track. The track surface elevations and surrounding terrain are now complete. The development team is claiming that using this technique it would be very hard to produce a better model, even using laser scanning technology.

Atlanta Motorsports Park (AMP) is a road circuit designed by famed Formula One architects, Hermann Tilke. AMP is a 2-mile road coircuit with elevation changes, technical circuit layout, high speed straights and two ‘signature’ corners designed to pay homage to famed European race circuits; Belgium’s Spa-Francochamps and the iconic ‘Carousel’ from Germany’s Nurburgring.  The AMP Karting circuit is the only kart track in America built to CIK Level “A” (F1 standard) with 43’ of elevation change.
