rFactor 2 – Circuit Zandvoort 2020 Update Deployed
A few weeks ago, Studio 397 introduced the new Zandvoort track for rFactor2. In the past couple of weeks, the development team took notice of the community and racing driver feedback and started some more work on the circuit fixing several bugs and polishing a lot of details on and around the track.
The track itself was slightly adjusted in several places, such as lowering the bump just after turn 3, changing the entry towards turn 4. Furthermore, also the paddock layout is changed and now supports up to 45 cars. Around the track, there are now Tec-Pro and safer barriers installed, and a few small holes and other anomalies in the mesh are fixed. Cars with very low ground-clearance no longer collide on some curbs.
Last but not least, the update features new AI and added track marshals and officials around the whole track. Several new objects were added in the areas surrounding the track and night lights are added. Finally, some objects that were floating above the terrain are now fixed, and the performance was boosted by tweaking the draw distances of objects.
