rFactor 2 Day-Night-Day Transitions

Now that Project CARS by Slightly Mad Studios is released to the masses, many community members out there have applauded the dynamic day to night transition featured in the game.

For those who did not yet realise it, Image Space Incorporated pointed out that also rFactor 2 features a transitional day-night-day lighting cycle. To do so they created a little video showing us a 24-hour race with the lighting accelerated 10 times.

The video start at 4pm showing you an accelerated hour ever 15 seconds. With its time-of-day feature, you can setup your race session to start at any time of day or night, and time marches forward from that point, in real-time or at an accelerated rate.

With the growing popularity of virtual endurance races and full on 24-hour events, features such as a day to night cycle become an essential part of a modern simulator platform.
