Studio 397 has announced that the Circuit de la Sarthe (Le Mans) and Ferrari (488 GTE and GT3) vehicles for rF2 will no longer be available on the Steam store from 1st January 2025.
The removal is the result of expiring rFactor 2 licensing agreements regarding both the track and the cars. While the mentioned content will no longer be available for purchase, players who allready own the track and/or cars, will keep the content in their library, and can continue using it in both online and offline sessions.
Both the Le Mans 24H circuit,(€5,72) and the Ferrari 488s (€3.90 each) will remain on sale until the 1st of January 2025.
Not willing, or able to renew the licence, might be indicating that Motorsport Games is slowly fasing out the rFactor 2 development, while focusing on the newer Le Mans Ultimate Early Access title.
