rFactor 2 Interceptor Quad & Lost Valley

A lot of rFactor 2 fans have been requesting Dirt tracks and Dirt vehicles for rFactor 2. The Image Space Incorporated development team decided to give it a little go and see if it was possible within the current game engine. For this experiment the team decided to build a Quad vehicle and a Dirt track. ISI makes it clear that rFactor 2 does not support loose dirt and soft terrain modelling at the moment, and that you can expect dirt tracks to have the same capability as the older rF1 platform. Lots of fans will applaud the fact that ISI decided to release this experimental project, so that users could have a go and maybe have some dirt track fun during this Easter weekend.  (ISI stated that this release was scheduled for April 1, but they did not make it in time.)

You can download the Interceptor Quad (65MB)  and Lost Valley dirt track (80MB) on the rFactor 2 webpage. ISI makes clear that this experimental project was done in a relatively short time and that this will show in certain areas. Its good news to hear that the IS Dev team remains committed to bringing dirt simulation to rF2 in the future.
