Simraceway – Circuit of the Americas Released. |
With Formula One returning to the US this season, Simraceway has just released as part of its wide-ranging track offering the country’s first circuit specifically designed and built for the FIA’s premier series. Keep reading for more information–and to find out how you can win a VIP trip to the real Circuit of the Americas. Started in January 2011, the Circuit of the Americas has been inspired by some of the world’s most storied F1 venues. As well as featuring its own versions of the legendary Maggotts-Becketts-Chapel sequence at Silverstone and Hockenheim’s “arena” section, it also includes a nod to Istanbul’s popular Turn 8. However, while some sections of the circuit will be familiar to the drivers, their skills will be tested to the limit by the uncommon counter-clockwise format of the track. We’ve been developing our virtual Circuit of the Americas even as the finishing touches are being put on the real facility, located near Austin, Texas, to ensure our players are able to gain track time on the challenging 3.427-mile circuit before Vettel, Hamilton, and company hit the grid at the United States Grand Prix on November 18th. We’re even offering the chance to race competitively on the track over a month before the pros do—with the ultimate champion of our Circuit of the Americas tournament winning an all-expenses-paid VIP package to attend the real-world race! Because we’re so far ahead of the curve on this one, some of the finer details of the circuit (away from the track) won’t be completed until after the actual event takes place, but we’re sure you’ll agree that this is a price worth paying in order for us to allow you to get a driver’s-eye-view of the Circuit of the Americas before its first high-profile event. We hope you enjoy your first experiences of Formula One’s newest track! |
