SimRacing Expo 2014 organiser Marc Hennerici

European Motorsport fans will undoubtably know the name “Marc Hennerici”. The Racing career of Marc is impressive to say the least. As many racing drivers out there, he started of in Karting, and soon stepped up to the German Formula BMW single seater series. After that, Marc got busy in the German Alfa 147 Cup. From there on he moved to the German Touring-car Challenge.

Then things got a little more serious when in 2005 he obtained a seat in the FIA World Touring-car Championship. Marc became the first winner of the WTCC Independents Trophy. One of his most beloved circuits must be the 24h Nurburgring Nordschleife. Marc raced in multiple VLN events and did not miss a 24h Nurburgring Nordschleife race since 2006. In 2009 he completed a full ADAC GT Masters season. In 2009, 2010 and 2011 he competed in the FIA GT1 Championship. In 2009 he did one race in a Matech Ford GT1 but returned for a full 2010 season in the Team Phoenix, Chevrolet Corvette C6.R GT1. In 2011 he switched to the Ford GT1, and competed in 17 races driving for the Marc VDS Racing Team.  In 2011, 2012 and 2013 Marc Hennerici also competed in the Blancpain Endurance Series.

As you can see, Marc Hennerici loves his racing and was pretty successful doing so. Sim Racers around the world will be pleased to hear that Marc is also an avid Sim Racer, and wants to help promote the Virtual version of his career. Marc is the organiser of the first official Sim Racing Expo.

Between 19 and 21 September 2014, and together with the Blancpain Endurance Series, at the Nurburgring Marc hosts the SimRacing EXPO 2014, and will try to bring the real and virtual racing world closer together. The exhibition will be held in the 8.800 m2 Ring boulevard at the circuit. When you visit the event, you will be able to try out various Sim Racing products and maybe do some Sim Racing against professional racing drivers. Marc Hennerici hope to turn a number of Motorsport fans into Sim Racers.
