For avid motorsport fans, the name Cosworth needs no introduction. The British automotive engineering company has a rich history specializing in high-performance internal combustion engines, powertrains, and electronics for the motorsport industry. Most noticeably, Cosworth racked up 176 wins in Formula One as an engine supplier. Cosworth also manufactures a lineup of high-tech racing car steering wheels such as the CCW Mk2, CCW Mk3, and the CAN Formula steering wheel.
SimRep Engineering was asked to develop the electronics and software for the Cosworth CCW MK2 Pro Sim Wheel. They have worked together with Cosworth to re-engineer the CCW MK2 from a motorsport wheel to a sim wheel.
Initially, the sim wheel project was started in cooperation with Simtag Simulator which went out of business a year ago. Since then, the Dutch SimRep Engineering company has taken over the development in partnership with the Cosworth team.
The CCW MK2 Pro wheel is a light 1kg wheel rim made up of genuine Cosworth parts with the electronics re-engineered for sim racing purposes. The 280mm diameter carbon rim is fitted with a 4.3″ 900 nit sunlight viewable TFT telemetry display boasting high graphical resolution at 480×272 QVGA with 16.7M colors combined with ten tri-colour Rev/Shift and six alarm LEDs.
Furthermore, the wheel plate houses 10 easy-access push-button switches, 4 12-position rotary switches, and 2 12-position thumbwheels. The basic version does not feature clutch levers, but there is an advanced version available wich does include them.

Pricing:
The Mk2 wheel is priced from €7900, ex. VAT. For the advanced version with clutches, the price is €8779, ex. VAT. Upon placing an order, the wheel will be custom-built. This whole process before shipment takes about 4–6 weeks.
Note: All buyers outside the EU will be responsible for paying import duties and taxes at their country’s customs office. Customers from the EU with a valid VAT number, can be invoiced tax-free.
