SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo Unveiled
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles have revealed the SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo concept car.
The supercar is a single-seat hybrid powertrain concept vehicle designed by the SRT team of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. SRT is the high-performance department of Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep.
There will be three variants of the SRT Tomahawk available. The base design model is powered by a 7.0L V10 that delivers 792 hp. The added pneumatically-driven front wheels technology will add a further 215 hp making up a total 1,007 hp. The model has a top speed of 250 mph.
The race version will feature a tuned version of the V10 engine delivering 1,137 hp, while the air-driven front wheels will add an extra 313 hp. Combined, the 1,450 hp will propel the car to a staggering 300 mph top speed. The top version will deliver a theoretical 2,590 hp giving the car a top speed of 404 mph. It is stated that drivers would need a G-suit to cope with the extreme G-forces.
The vehicle will be released as a free download for Gran Turismo 6 this summer.
The Vision Gran Turismo project invites automakers to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Gran Turismo franchise by designing innovating vehicles for use in the popular racing video game.
