In addition to the car purchase section, Japanese formula cars will be included in the museum portion, allowing players to check out both car history and view videos.
Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of Polyphony Digital Inc., and producer of the Gran Turismo series commented that Super Formula has a long history, and being able to include the Dallara Automobili manufactured SF19 and working with those at Dallara and JRP on this release at the timing of the SF19 debut has been a pleasure.
Super Formula’s machine performance, aerodynamics, engines and tires have improved significantly over the past few years, bringing its potential to a level almost to that of F1. Not only drivers and teams from not Japan, but top drivers from around the world are now coming to compete in the Super Formula.
Since it first went on sale in 1997, Gran Turismo and subsequent releases have grown to be the leading motorsports platform in the world. It will be a great promotional tool on a worldwide scale for Super Formula and the SF19 to become part of Gran Turismo. We hope that Super Formula will continue to be a series that appeals to young talented drivers from around the world. And we are excited to be able to support those efforts.
