Swedish Rig Designs – Aluminium Profile SIMKART PRO Rig

Mikael Engstrom from Swedish Rig Designs is a sim racer, and mechanical engineer, aiming to develop affordable aluminum rigs for sim racing.

Recently, Mikael developed what might be the first aluminum profile Karting rig conveniently named SimKart Pro. During development, SRD has some help from professional karting drivers developing and testing the rig resulting in a product that can be used as a training tool for Kart professionals and racing enthusiasts.

The highly adjustable chassis is fitted with a Nek Z2 Modulate or Nek Z2 carbon kart fiber seat resulting in a realistic Kart seating position. Furthermore, the chassis is fitted with high-end sim racing equipment such as a Simucube 2 Pro direct drive wheelbase, Heusinkveld Sprint pedals, and a Heusinkveld sequential shifter. The SimKart Pro chassis will also become available with optional features such as a monitor-stand and a motion system.

Finally, to add that Swedish touch, SRD products are ready for self-assembly and come with an IKEA inspired manual.

At the time of writing the chassis is still undergoing a Beta test, and no release schedule or pricing has been communicated. As usual, we will keep you posted when more info becomes available.
