The British VPG brand founded by Mike and Manny famous for their scratch-built Elemento and Elemento Pro wheels, launched a new product in the form of the Officially Licensed Ford Mustang GT3 Sim Racing Wheel.
VPG states that this is in fact not a replica, but the real steering wheel from the Mustang GT3 race car, re-engineered for sim racing.
The high-end wheel is built using the same moulds, materials, and techniques as the championship-winning wheel.
The 309 mm diameter wheel is crafted from carbon fiber, making it very light (1120 grams) yet very stiff, which is especially important for force-feedback purposes.
Furthermore, the front of the wheel rim is equipped with 10 push buttons, a 7-way funky switch, and 3 12-position rotary switches.
Each button features four individually addressable RGB LEDs, all SimHub Compatible. The buttons come with high-quality dome gel button stickers that will further enhance both tactile feedback and visual clarity.
On the rear, we find two extra push buttons, a set of Magnetic paddle shifters, and Hall sensor analog clutches. The wheel can be mounted to any wheelbase via 50.8mm and 70mm quick-release systems. All the electronics are connected to a PC via a quality Coiled USB Cable.
The Officially Licensed Ford Mustang GT3 Sim Racing Wheel is available for £1,599.00 excl. VAT (roughly €1924.00 excl. VAT) + shipping.
