The Pro-Sim H-Pattern Quaife Sim Shifter
The UK-based Pro-Sim company has introduced the H-pattern sim shifter developed in partnership with R.T. Quaife Engineering, Ltd which is a British manufacturer of automotive drivetrain products for both road-going and racing cars.
The included video and pictures show us the first working prototype of the Quaife Sim shifter. Pro-Sim hinted that in the near future, they might add an optional syncro and dog engagement box that will be selectable before you start to drive. It will either require the clutch to be pressed or the throttle lifted depending on the gearbox.
The mechanical Quaife H-pattern sim shifter will be compatible with any PC sim and with the PlayStation console. Pro-Sim did not yet set an exact price but stated it will be under 1000 British pounds.
We realize that this shifter will not be within everyone’s budget, but for the die-hard vintage car simulator enthusiasts, the Pro-Sim Quaife H-pattern sim shifter might be the best product in its class.
