Thrustmaster Ferrari 250 GTO vintage wheel addon Announced
In the beginning of this month, we already reported news about a new Thrustmaster Vintage addon rim teased at the 2017 Paris Games Week trade fair.
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Ferrari, Thrustmaster announced that they would launch a series of exceptional Ferrari licensed racing wheels. Today they officially announced the first limited edition replica wheel in the form of the Ferrari 250 GTO steering wheel for the Thrustmaster ECO system.
The Ferrari 250 GTO was a GT car produced by Ferrari from 1962 to 1964 for homologation into the FIA’s Group 3 Grand Touring Car category. With only a relatively small production run of thirty-six cars, and with many of the examples produced having a great racing pedigree, the Ferrari 250 GTO has become one of the icons of Ferrari’s production history, with a revered position in collectors’ circles.
The new Thrustmaster addon wheel is an official Ferrari-licensed 8:10 scale replica of the steering wheel of the legendary Ferrari 250 GTO. The 33 cm/13 inches diameter GTO wheel sports all the visual features of the original rim. The wheel is build up around a metal spoke structure and features a metal faceplate fitted with an authentic centered chrome plate and Ferarri logo. One of the most recognizable features is the high-quality Mahogany-look wooden rim cover with its black centered ring.
The PC exclusively 250 GTO Add-On wheel rim is fitted with the Thrustmaster ECO system Quick Release, which makes it compatible with the Thrustmaster T-series of racing wheels.
