Thrustmaster Respond To Fanatec CSL DD Announcement

Thrustmaster made yesterday’s “News of the day” with the announcement of their new Formula Wheel Add-On Ferrari SF1000 Replica Edition Steering Wheel for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X | S.

When later today, Fanatec dropped the bombshell, introducing the Fanatec CSL DD Wheelbase, bringing Direct Drive to the CSL Series for 349,95€ (incl. VAT) / 349,95$ (excl. VAT) + shipping, the first thing that crossed my mind was how Thrustmaster would respond, being the nr1 Fanatec competitor in the mid-range belt-drive wheelbase marked.

Not much later, an interesting Tweet appeared via the official Thrustmaster Twitter page. 🙂

While Thrustmaster has not yet shown any signs of having a Direct Drive Wheel in development, it would not surprise us that this may soon change. Let the battle begin. A little competition never hurt a customer…
