Thrustmaster T300RS GT edition Review By Sim Racing Garage

Barry Rowland of the Sim Racing Garage is probably best known for reviewing more expensive high-end custom build sim racing hardware. This time, Barry surprises us with something entirely different.

In his usual style, Barry presents an in-depth review of the now somewhat older but popular Thrustmaster T300RS GT Force Feedback wheel for the lower end of the market. Besides taking us on a detailed product tour, Barry also disassembles the T300RS GT wheelbase o show us the inner-workings of the Thrustmaster belt-driven force feedback system. The PS4/PS3 licensed Thrustmaster T300RS GT is not exactly a novelty, but a re-branded and bundled package of two already existing solid products. The package includes a Thrustmaster T300 Force Feedback wheel fitted with an 11-inch rim which is labeled as a Gran Turismo Edition and is bundled with a new metal 3-pedal set based on the popular T3PA-PRO pedals. However, The pedal set is not exactly the popular T3PA-PRO, but a variant featuring 3 adjustable metal pedals including clutch, brake, and accelerator fitted in a plastic pedal base.

The T300RS GT Edition is compatible with all the hardware in the Thrustmaster ecosystem range such as the detachable wheel rims, T3PA-PRO pedals, and both the TH8A and TH8RS shifters. The T300RS GT Edition is available at the suggested retail price of €399.99 / $399.99. That said, make sure to check out more than one retailer, as we could find the T300RS GT online for less.
