Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer Full Review by Inside Sim Racing
Early November, Thrustmaster introduced the brand new TS-PC Racer Force Feedback wheel as the follow-up of the now famous T500RS Wheel.
On release, Darin Gangi of Inside Sim Racing took a first look at the new TS-PC wheelbase and Formula Rim. After some hands-on testing with iRacing and Raceroom Racing Experience, Darin shares his first impressions of this new PC wheel by Thrustmaster.
Now ISRTV’s John Sabol presents the full review of the PC-only Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer. John explains the new features of the Force Feedback wheel and shows us the product in detail. After discussing the pro and cons of the wheel and showing us some test session footage, John compares the TS-PC Racer to the older Thrustmaster T500 and shares his final thoughts.
The TS-PC Racer Force Feedback wheel is powered by a new 40-watt motor that will provide the Force Feedback system with dynamic torque which results in a better response and more powerful effects. To keep the TS-PC Racer from overheating or power loss, Thrustmaster designed a brand new high-quality low-noise cooling system called “Motor Cooling Embedded” or MCE.
The TS-PC Racer is fully compatible with the entire Thrustmaster racing ecosystem which enables you to fit a selection of already existing Thrustmaster wheel rims to the system. The new Open wheeler style rim features suede grips and a set of wheel-mounted brushed aluminum paddle shifters. The wheel is fitted with six push buttons, a D-pad, and a 3-position push-able rotary encoder. The wheel rotation will be adjustable between 270 and 1080 degrees.
Last but not least, the new Thrustmaster wheel makes use of an external power supply that is specially designed to provide continuous power and a phenomenal peak power (400 watts).
The new TS-PC Racer Force Feedback wheel is available at a suggested retail price of €549.99 / $499.99 (taxes included). Keep in mind that the wheel does not come with a pedal set.
