TREQ Rookie – Entree Level Aluminium Profile Chassis

TREQ Rookie Aluminium Profile Chassis

The Dutch Treq company founded in 2020, has made a name for itself retailing quality, yet competitively priced sim racing products, with a focus on aluminum profile sim rigs in a variety of price ranges.

Recently, Treq added a new entree-level product to its lineup in the form of the TREQ Rookie simulator, which is a basic Aluminium T-slot sim racing chassis.

The perfect concept for a beginning sim racer, or for those who are looking to replace a DIY or tube frame chassis with a versatile upgradable T-Slot-based sim racing rig.

The Treq Rookie rig is made up of black anodized 40 Series (ISP, I-Type) 80×40 mm aluminum profiles with a slot size of 8 mm wide, and 12 mm deep. Out of teh box, the rig is suitable for people with a maximum body length of 185 cm.

The rig comes with a wheel deck made out of 5 mm thick powder-coated steel and is designed to handle the high torque of direct drive wheels of over 20 Nm.

The wheel deck is compatible with most of the popular wheelbase brands, and if not, the nature of a profile chassis will make it very easy to adapt the mounting to your needs.

To mount your pedals, the Treq Rookie uses two 40×40 profiles, that can be placed straight and slightly angled. It’s compatible with pedals that have their own base plate, such as Logitech, Thrustmaster, and Fanatec.

The rig is built on top of 4 rubber feet but can be upgraded with caster wheels for easy transport.

The beauty of a T-Slot-based sim racing rig is that fact that it can easily be upgraded or customized. Therefore Treq also retails a number of accessories that can be added to the rig, such as keyboard trays, monitor mountings, racing seats, and more. Needless to say, profile rigs can easily mix accessories from other brands as they are all interchangeable, keeping your T-slot size in mind.

Also, those who eventually want to venture into the world of motion rigs will know that a profile rig is the most versatile and easiest solution to implement just about any motion solution on the market.

Pricing:

For many aspiring sim racers, the most interesting feature of the Treq Rookie will be its price.

The Treq Rookie simulator chassis is available for €299,00 VAT incl. + shipping.

Keep in mind that a racing seat and seat brackets are sold separately.
