Sector3 Studios announced that the iconic Volkswagen Scirocco Group 2 will be part of the upcoming December update for the RaceRoom Racing Experience title.
The first generation of the Scirocco ( type 53) was built between 1974 and 1981. The first VW Scirocco race car was developed during the introduction year of the car by Eckart Berg. The race version of the car was powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine tuned to develop 170 horsepower at 7,000 rpm which propelled the car to a top speed of 200 km/h (124 mph).
The Scirocco successfully competed in the Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft Gruppe 2 wearing some iconic liveries such as the Zender, Jagermeister, and Kamei colors to name a few.
For those who are more into modern GT cars, the December build will also introduce the Audi R8 LMS GT2 as a brand new competitor for the Porsche 911 GT2 RS which is already in the game.
